THE STORY:
"I had arrived in Cinque Terre the day before, and after a long train journey, I was finally settling into this charming little hotel perched on the cliffs. The room had a small, old-fashioned window, and when I pulled back the curtains that morning, I was greeted by one of the most stunning sights I’ve ever seen. The window framed this incredible view of the ocean and the rugged coastline, with Riomaggiore’s colourful buildings clinging to the cliffs like something out of a postcard. The sun was just beginning to rise, casting a warm, golden light over everything. The water shimmered as the first rays of sunlight hit it, and the coastline stretched out in a series of dramatic curves and dips. I positioned myself at the window, trying to get the perfect angle. The ocean sparkled below, and the vibrant hues of the buildings seemed to blend harmoniously with the natural beauty of the coastline. The whole scene had this serene, almost magical quality to it. I took the shot, and every time I look at that photo now, it takes me right back to that moment. It’s a reminder of how incredible it is to see the world from such a breathtaking vantage point."
