THE STORY:
"I’d gone out to the cliffs at the Royal National Park for some peace and quiet one Sunday. Golden hour was hitting its peak—the sky was this rich blend of gold and pink, and the cliffs were bathed in this warm, glowing light. The ocean below was restless, with waves crashing against the jagged cliffs in a rhythm that felt alive. The sound of the waves echoed up to where I was standing. I pulled out my camera, found a good vantage point near the edge, and just watched for a moment. There was something hypnotic about the way the water moved—how the waves built up slowly, then smashed into the cliffs, sending spray high into the air. The golden light caught the mist, making it shimmer like tiny sparks. I waited for the right wave, the one that would capture the power and beauty of the moment. Then, it happened. A massive wave rolled in, hitting the cliffs with a crash that seemed to shake the ground. The sunlight hit the spray just perfectly, and I snapped the photo right as the water exploded upward. It was pure magic. It’s one of those moments that stays with you—the raw energy of nature mixed with the quiet beauty of golden hour."
