THE STORY:

"The swell was massive one morning at Bronte beach, so I decided to head down early with my camera. When I arrived, the sky was still a bit hazy, and the light was soft, but you could already see the waves starting to build in the distance. I found a spot on the cliffs, just above the break. From there, I had a clear view of the waves rolling in from the back. The ocean was a frothy mix of blue and white, with waves crashing and sending up plumes of mist that caught the morning light just right. As I set up my camera, I noticed a couple of surfers paddling out, trying to catch the perfect wave. They were barely visible through the mist, which added this almost ethereal quality to the scene. The surfers, silhouetted against the mist, looked like they were part of this grand, natural spectacle. I waited until the right moment when the sunlight hit the spray perfectly and the surfers were framed just right. Looking at that photo now, I can still see the mist swirling around the surfers and feel the raw power of the ocean. It’s one of my favorite shots, a reminder of how amazing nature can be."
